Gemke needs to improve a bit more on his control game then he will be a force of be reckoned with. He def has the physical stamina and offensive plays down.

23:33 I hope Chou Tien Chen hears this, because he really needs to hear this. But in the end, Gemke choked when he was on the verge of victory, at 19-All in the second game. 2 points, pushed the shuttle out 2 times. Satisfied with "putting up a good fight"; not going for the win. Anyways, whatever...

@Bao Nghi Lam personality, style, same difference. I am talking especially about his last two matches against Axelsen (All England) and Momota (I don't remember which tournament) in finals

@Inner Peace Are u talking about the last match with Antonsen or his whole career? I watched some matches of Chou and he never disappoints me at making drama on court, his matches were tense and his mental strength was amazing. Btw the scream is not relative to player personality, it's just one's style.

@Crapsalot567 ehhhhhh ? My previous response disappeared... Anyways, I was saying: In my opinion Chou doesn't bring the fight to his opponent, doesn't put enough pressure on them, doesn't make them work and earn their victory. Especially when he has a bad Head-to-Head against an opponent, he crumbles too easily. He has too much of a mental block. I think he has everything: tall, athletic, good endurance, good defense, good smashes both cross court and straight, but at some occasions in the finals, he failed to even put up a fight. I suspect he was scared of losing / doubting his ability to win, didn't know how to got about it, but it would have been nice to see him fight with EVERYTHING he has, to at least make it a close fight...and grow. I would have also been nice to see him waste less energy screaming and put that energy into his plays / attacks (is it because I said this that my comment was censored ?). Yes, each player has their own personality but : the more you scream, externalize emotions, the more you are at their mercy. I believe he can do it, but no one can help him but himself. And like I said earlier: time is running out.

I do think Chou tries really hard in his games. It's just that he doesn't use the same energy in his attacks compared to his defense.

Wow, Rasmus was fast, but he was lost due to strategy. Antonsen was so calm, great defense skill. A Great match! :D
